LAKE FOREST, CA, JUNE 2020 – With Father’s Day just around the corner, Camisasca Automotive would like to honor a “Father of the Automotive Industry" Lee Iacocca.
THE LIFE OF LEE IACOCCA
Lido Anthony "Lee" Iacocca was born on October 15, 1924 in Allentown, Pennsylvania USA. As an industry leader and champion of the "can-do" attitude, Iacocca broke through corporate red tape to get the job done. Notable achievements include:
During his time at Ford he developed the Mustang and Pinto.
Iacocca became the President of Chrysler in 1978.
He was able to secure a loan guarantee in 1979 for Chrysler from the United States Congress.
In 1985, Iacocca was honored with the S. Roger Horchow Award for Greatest Public Service by a Private Citizen.
In 1999, Iacocca became the head of the electric bike company EV Global Motors.
In 2005, Iacocca was appointed as Chrysler's pitchman and coined the phrase, “If you can find a better car, buy it.”
Sadly, Lee Iacocca Passed away on July 2, 2019 at the age of 94. A true father of the automotive industry.
