Lake Forest, CA — Camisasca Automotive Manufacturing, Inc. produces intricate MX5 valve stem caps for 30th anniversary celebration.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the celebrated Mazda MX5. Renowned for its lightweight and compact size, its road holding capabilities are famous the world over. Thus, when Mazda Japan and NAO got together to develop a special edition accessory and homage to this motoring icon, what better solution than our petite yet intricate alloy logo valve stem caps.
Every year the world’s largest gathering of Mazda MX5 owners and enthusiasts occurs in Japan during the month of May. With just 5 months to develop and engineer a unique accessory offering to match Mazda’s vital requirements, CAM dug into its arsenal of production processes and testing to deliver a truly one of a kind collectible. Chief among which was being able to replicate the tight and detailed anniversary graphic that would be at the marketing forefront for this great celebration.
Knowing that traditional graphic methods would be stressed to produce such an image, photographic imaging commonly used in nameplate production was introduced to the product line. The result was not only a cosmetically appealing and high-tech look, but one with extremely robust performance and complementary aluminum structure. Final parts combined both the most advanced form of graphic presentation with the most premium version of our valve stem cap, certainly a worthy keepsake for a foundation vehicle.
